CHANGES TO LIDEA’S EXECUTIVE GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE

After an initial phase that began in May 2019, focused on the merger between Euralis Semences and Caussade Semences Group, followed by the creation of Lidea in September 2020 and the launch of the Lidea brand in March 2021, Pierre Flye Sainte Marie, CEO of Lidea, and Philippe Saux, CEO of the Euralis Group, have made the joint decision to change Lidea’s governance structure.

Having devoted two years to designing and launching this new project, Pierre Flye Sainte Marie will be stepping down as CEO in the coming weeks.

As of 1 July 2021, Philippe Saux will become CEO of Euralis and Lidea.

Olivier Paul, Group Director of Economic Performance, will lead Lidea’s Executive Committee as Deputy CEO.

Philippe Saux stated: “Since the early stages of the merger project in July 2019 and the development of a new player in the seed industry, Pierre Flye Sainte Marie has made a major contribution to the success of this first chapter of Lidea’s history. I would like to express my deep gratitude to him for all he has done. Lidea’s ambition has been confirmed: to create and offer tailor-made and sustainable multi-species seed solutions, in proximity to its ecosystem, generating added value throughout the year. To this end, we continue to invest in the industrial and R&D activities necessary for the development of our business and we are significantly strengthening the positions of our brands on the European markets.”

Pierre Flye Sainte Marie concluded: “Over the past year, Lidea’s foundations have been established to enable this new entity to be built and to ensure the continuity of the business. Looking back, we have accomplished so many projects, achieved so much progress, and so many building blocks have been assembled to shape Lidea’s future. I would like to thank all of Lidea’s employees for their commitment throughout this decisive first stage.”
