Maison Rougié: rearing ducks free from antibiotic treatments
Since June 2019, Maison Rougié has been offering even healthier and sustainable fresh foie gras and raw duck breast made from ducks reared without antibiotic treatments from birth in 550 of the brand’s French family-run farms. This is a real ground-breaking initiative, guaranteed by an independent certified organisation and serves as a response to the latest consumer trends regarding product quality and traceability. This is also part of the strategy adopted by Rougié in 2014 to limit the use of medication. For several years now, breeders have been moving increasingly towards alternative solutions such as herbal medicine, probiotics and essential oils to naturally strengthen ducks’ immune systems and reduce the use of antibiotics. These efforts have led to a sixfold decrease in the use of fattening treatments compared to 2015.
Maison Montfort is committed to quality with the new Label Rouge collection
Come and discover our Label Rouge Maison Montfort product range, ideal for those looking for healthy, safe and responsible products without compromising on quality or taste. Launched in May 2019, the collection recently expanded for the end-of year festivities with new exceptional foie gras recipes.
These exceptionally fresh meats and foie gras are made from free-range ducks bred in southwest France and fed on a 100% plant-based diet consisting of locally cultivated GMO-free whole-grain maize. They are manually selected and prepared by specially trained and qualified employees.
Our preservative-free foie gras seasoned with Guérande sea salt and Sarawak pepper, duck aiguillettes (the leanest part of a duck) enjoyed for their tender and delicious meat , and raw duck breast fillets (the most exquisite part of a duck) bred in southwest France, are now available in a fresh food aisle or delicatessen near you!
Qualité Traiteur sliced savoury cakes voted 2020 Product of the Year
Our new range of sliced savoury cakes has won the French “Product of the Year” award, undoubtedly as a result of its ability to respond to current consumer demands: a third of French citizens consume aperitifs on average twice a week, with a preference for convenient, tasty and healthy products. All of our savoury cakes’ ingredients are of French origin and free from preservatives, guaranteeing maximum transparency for consumers. Furthermore, they are easy to prepare: pre-sliced with a texture reminiscent of “home-made” savoury cakes, you just need to heat them up! This award is a tremendous achievement for the Qualité Traiteur’s innovation policy, which aims to give consumers the final say, since they are, after all, the only real experts when it comes to evaluating our new products.
