Food Products Division

Citation Pierre Couderc ©

On 1 October 2010, our two food products subsidiaries Euralis Gastronomie (foie gras) and Jean Stalaven (catering products) were brought together in a single division. Euralis is accelerating the development of its synergies to strengthen its potential for growth.

Ambition:

By accelerating the growth of its food products business, the Group is aiming to double turnover on this market, with the objective of exceeding €1 billion by 2020. A genuine ambition backed by solid performances.

Development:

To achieve its objectives, Euralis will be strengthening its position in its established distribution channels. With gastronomy professionals, the Group's Rougié brand of foie gras is already a market leader in France (30% of market share) and internationally (25% market share). It is also holds a premier position in supermarkets with Montfort, No.1 in France on the chill counter (part-cooked + uncooked foie gras). Finally, on the catering products market, Jean Stalaven is France's leading distribution network for small local shops. These considerable advantages provide the foundations on which Euralis has based its development strategy and built its new organisation.

Organisation:

A divisional management structure will be overseeing every aspect of the business. The new organisation is based on the two companies, Euralis Gastronomie and Jean Stalaven, whose legal structure remains unchanged and will continue with the teams in place.
Shared organisation of certain functions such as industrial production and the supply chain is already in place. The supermarket sales teams working for Euralis Gastronomie and Jean Stalaven have been brought together in a new consortium (a GIE). Publicity and marketing are organised into 3 entities: Rougié, Euralis Gastronomie and Jean Stalaven.
