CAP 2012, the Group's strategic plan
The Euralis strategic plan, Cap 2012, was launched in late 2007. It sets clear ambitions for a five-year period.

Cap 2012 sets out:
Three strategic priorities:
- To strengthen our position in south-west France, by capitalising on the Group's areas of expertise and by investing in its established areas.
- To diversify into new and growth markets, to meet the new needs of consumers and find new outlets for our farmers.
- To develop internationally, to reinforce our positions and protect our established markets in the face of globalisation.
One objective: to achieve a turnover of €1.5 billion by 2012

One major ambition for each Division:
- APD Division: extend its geographical limits to ensure continued growth in the traditional Euralis sectors in the face of structural change,
- Seeds Division: deploy a conquest strategy by taking advantage of growth markets in Eastern Europe and consolidating R&D strengths,
- Gastronomy Division: underpin its leadership position on the foie gras market by reinforcing its modes of distribution and building a balanced world network,
- Catering Division: exploit a rapidly expanding market to strengthen our distribution networks and extend product ranges.
Already achieved in 2008-2009:
Priority: to reinforce our position in SW France
- the opening of agricultural supply shops (Point Vert, Gamm Vert, Coop Vert)
- extending its operations in the Gers
- development of new outlets such as the hemp industry
- acquisition of Comptoirs Durand (82)

Priority: to diversify into new and growth markets
- becoming a majority shareholder in Jean Stalaven, the leading of fresh and deli foods
- acquisition of the ESV company (84)
- creation of Eurosorgho, now the largest European sorghum producer, as a 50/50 joint company with Sud Céréales
- launching of the Lacq biofuels plant activity
Priority: to develop internationally
- doubling the production capacity of the seed production site at Cherkassy, in the Ukraine
- setting up three new Euralis Semences units in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary
- development of Euralis Gastronomie in China
